Three weeks after inoculation

The straw is still visible but it is being colonised by the mycelium which is steadily spreading throughout the bag. You may notice that there is a layer of white mycelium on the as top of the straw inside the bag - this is perfectly normal. What we can’t see is what is happening inside the straw but we can make a reliable assumption that the inside will also be a mixture of straw and mycelium. If there is condensation inside the bag, don’t worry, this is normal and expected. This will be asked by the moisture inside the bag (from the straw) and CO2 build up as the mycelium eats through the substrate.
