After four weeks in incubation, you may see some areas on the substrate where the colour of the mycelium comes through, specifically a pink hue in the straw if you’ve used pink oyster grain spawn. Parts of the substrate may look untouched whereas other areas may be covered in white mycelium, both are normal.
